DJ MaDFISH

This is my first solo game project, developed over the course of 18-ish hours during Might and Delights studio game jam 2023.

In DJ MaDFISH, you play as DJ MaDFISH, a famous music producer from the atlantic. He is just about to release his latest masterpiece, but has unfortunately dropped all of his instruments on various platforms in the middle of the ocean.

This wouldn’t have been a problem if it wasn’t for DJ MaDFISH’s only weakness - he can’t swim. He HATES water. In fact, if he touches it he will fall into the void for all eternity. (this is totally not because I didn’t have time to implement proper dying)

Instead, use the pink clouds and other obstacles to gather the instruments and create your own music as you go!

Use Alt + F4 (PC) or Command + Q (Mac) if you fall in the water! Or if you just need to quit. There is currently no in-game way to quit or restart. Sorry :)

Controls:

WASD - Move

Spacebar - Jump

Mouse - Control camera

Things that I wanted to include but did not have time for during the game jam:

Death/Restart

Audio effects to mess around with at Bonus Island (the island itself and a VO talking about it exists though)

A jump sound effects, and maybe even a voice for DJ MaDFISH

Moving platforms/more movement options

A ”Choose your ambience!” section

The music and its adaptive functionality is made by me. So is the (rather low-effort) level design.

Textures, models and animations are gathered from the Unity asset store and google images.

The gameplay itself uses the third person perspective Unity template.
